A Brazilian glamour model has been subject to ridicule after she turned the debris left behind by superstorm Sandy into the backdrop for a series of bizarre photographs. Nana Gouvêa posed on top of a fallen trees and damaged cars before posting the images on Facebook.
The 30-year-old was spotted practising her pout by passers-by who also stopped to take their own snaps and her opportunist photoshoot was mocked by Gawker, which jokingly advised her: “The turmoil following a devastating natural disaster is a great opportunity to get out there and try poses, angles, and wardrobe choices you normally wouldn’t.
“This is a time for introspection and re-examining your personal style. Also a great time to stomp all over cars and things.”The scandal prompted Facebook and Tumblr users to set up spoof accounts. Profiles on each, both called “Nana Gouvêa in Disasters”, also mock her with images of the model superimposed over other tragic scenes.
